There are a number of sporting opportunities which arise in Term 2 for sports which do not have an ISA (Independent Sporting Association) competition or pathway. I am eager to enter students into these trials if they are suitable. The NSWCIS is a high level of representative performance and I will need to ensure students are appropriately experienced and skilled to be both competitive and safe.
The CIS sports that will trial in Term 2 are:
AFL: Girls & Boys 15 years and under. Student must be turning 14 or 15 in 2025.
Boys Hockey: Boys 15 years and under. Student must be turning 14 or 15 in 2025.
Rugby League: Girls 18 years and under. Student must be turning 17 or 18 in 2025.
Rugby League: Girls 16 years and under. Student must be turning 15 or 16 in 2025.
Rugby League: Boys 18 years and under. Student must be turning 16, 17, or 18 in 2025.
Rugby League: Boys 15 years and under. Student must be 15 or under in 2025.
Bowls: Boys and Girls 18 years and under as at 31 December 2025.
If your child plays at a high level in these sports and is interested in trialling for the CIS, please send me an e-mail at
rbutler@sacs.nsw.edu.au and include:
1. The full name of your child
2. The age your child is turning/will have turned as of the 31st December, 2025
3. The sport and age group (if age group is applicable) that your child would like to nominate for.
4. Supporting evidence of their participation in the relevant sport at a highly graded or representative level.
